Marlboro cigarettes are manufactured and produced by a company names Altria. Huge numbers of smokers have said that Marlboro is their brand of choice for well over a century. Marlboro cigarettes became famous at the time when cigarette advertisement were allowed. Marlboro was made famous by the Marlboro Man and of course many will remember the slogan "Mild as May" that came out in the early 1920's. It hasn't always been easy for the Marlboro brand. Marlboro was taken off the market for many years after World War II ended. The original location of the very first London Marlboro manufacturing factory which was located on Great Marlborough Street, is what the Marlboro brand of cigarettes was named after. While in today's market the largest production factory is located in Richmond, Virginia in the United States many years ago the London location has been the largest cigarette factory.

The Marlboro's you see on the market today are all filtered cigarettes. Marlboro no longer produces non filtered cigarettes because they want to be able to offer their customers the best quality product possible. There are several different styles, strengths and lengths of Marlboro cigarettes available today. Marlboro was one of the first cigarette brands to offer a variety of strengths of cigarettes such as the medium for a slightly softer taste than a full flavored. They also offer lights and ultra lights that are much softer in strength and taste than the kings.
